Asthma is currently the most prevalent chronic disease among children in the United States with nearly nine million affected. The Diagnosis and Management of Pediatric Asthma Care: Knowledge Assessment and Learning provides a self-assessment with guided learning to improve office-based asthma management. The educational format includes: 50 self-assessment pre-test questions; access to and review of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) asthma guidelines; required (and supplemental) reading list of journal articles cross walked with test questions; faculty guided three-hour training; post-test; course evaluation; and six-week follow up on practice change.
